Garden Design With Minoli Porcelain Paving

As the RHS Chelsea Flower Show starts today, it seems timely for us to share the latest updates to the Outdoor by Minoli Collection, a comprehensive and creative series of porcelain paving, specifically manufactured for use outside.

In concrete and wood effects through to those that emulate natural stone and now marble, many in the extensive Outdoor by Minoli collection have coordinating interior tiles to match, so very consistent indoor to outside transitions can be achieved through bi-fold doors and picture windows.

Also, with sustainable design firmly on the show’s agenda, the new ranges of ReStone and ReConcrete feature selected sizes of outdoor pavers that include over 60% pre- and post-consumer recycled content, reclaimed from the processing procedure and firing cycle, so helping to reuse the component elements, reduce consumption and respect the environment.

All porcelain pavers are manufactured according to energy and water-efficiency criteria and are an environmentally friendly choice due to their long-lasting and recyclable characteristics. Production is considered ‘zero waste’, based on the use of natural and always reusable materials, plus they do not contain any volatile organic compounds (VOCs), formaldehyde, PVC, plastics or petroleum derivatives.

Outdoor By Minoli ranges feature the latest in tile manufacturing methodologies. Advancements in production allow for more expansive sizes, 20 mm thickness, increased load bearing and frost resistance, anti-slip qualities and higher-definition surface design, resulting in an unprecedented diversity of textures and finishes.

New designs, colours and finishes have also seen porcelain paving considered for and used in a much wider range of exterior surface settings including patios, terraces and paths but also balconies, stairways, pool and pond surrounds and outdoor kitchens, for instance.

This is in part made possible by the introduction of alternative fixing solutions. Alongside using traditional adhesive and grout, given the weight and strength of 20 mm porcelain, these pavers can also be laid to grass and earth or installed onto new pedestal systems which offer improved drainage and easier access to pipework or cabling.

These innovations and the constant evolution and expansion of the ranges, allow garden designers and professional landscapers to imagine new applications for exterior use porcelain. At this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show we’re expecting to see porcelain paving used in more diverse ways within both classic and contemporary settings that cleverly combine hard and soft landscaping within their designs. Perhaps they will feature in the small space, ‘Balcony and Container Garden’ displays as well.

With new product lines added for 2025, the Outdoor By Minoli Collection goes from strength to strength, featuring 13 distinct ranges, comprising nearly 100 individual product lines, 33 of which we hold in plentiful UK stock, ready for prompt delivery within 2-5 working days. A further 120 Outdoor product lines and designs can also be ordered with very reasonable lead times.

As are often required to complete projects in outside settings, special pieces can also be ordered, such as edging, drainage, step treads and corner trims, and we can also arrange for the material to be delivered to a third-party finisher if required.
