In a new series of articles, over the coming weeks we’ll be exploring a dozen of our favourite, frequently specified ranges, with styles that emulate marble, natural stone, concrete and wood-effects. These include standard-sized tiles, extra-large slabs and beautiful small-format, retro-metro tiles with remarkable chromatic variety, so providing surface solutions for almost any design brief.
These are all produced in premium porcelain, principally with precisely rectified edges, and represent a selection of those collections most often requested by our housebuilder and developer, interior designer, architect and homeowner clients.

What’s inspiring to see is the sheer variety of Minoli ranges that are regularly ordered to fulfil design briefs. These range from prime property developments and private residences in London and the Home Counties, through to bespoke interiors for refurbishment initiatives, and more formulaic schemes for Built-To-Rent and projects requiring more concerted value engineering.
Also, while these selected series are all popular picks with our clients, they are often used in very different ways in diverse settings, through bathrooms, kitchens, ensuites and utility rooms, and indeed larger living areas and hallways. More inventive applications see some of these designs being used to clad fireplace surrounds, media walls and breakfast bars, for instance.
All this points to a more free-form decorative direction, with designers being less constrained as tile styles become more varied and inventive. We’re also seeing exciting combinations of different colourways, finishes and ranges being used to define zones within spaces and meet specific requirements for gloss or grip, on walls and floors, inside and outdoors.
Here’s a summary of these selected, sought-after series, and we’ll delve into more detail in the next few weeks:
Elysian – Elevating the effect of porcelain stoneware to new levels of architectural and aesthetic appeal, with the natural, delicate detailing of the minerals found in the original material.
Prism – With the look of super-smooth concrete and a soft resin-like sheen, the multi-toned layers and occasional dispersed markings within the super-saturated surfaces create remarkable depth.

Marvel Travertine – In Vein Cut and Cross Cut designs, this sublime collection has a dual identity, providing two sensuous surfaces for different design directions and a broad range of settings.
Marvel Diva – An iconic series of beautiful, fine Italian porcelain tiles and expansive large format slabs, with coordinating décor pieces, inspired by some of the most precious and rare marbles.

Yacht – Elegantly emulating the natural nuances and irregular inclusions of stone, in accord with the levels of quality, creativity and value that our design and development clients require.
Aland – With a dispersed and varied pattern and graceful graining through the surface, the welcoming warmth of real wood is realistically realised in these high-performance porcelain planks.

Storm – Trends of the modern day are met with timeless beauty and classic charm in this stone-effect porcelain collection with a meticulously matt, mellow finish and subtle surface patterning.
Luminous Lume – A realistically retro, subway brick effect tile, in a striking 6/24 letterbox format and fifteen creative colourways, with exquisite shade variation and a hand-crafted appearance.

Boost – Capturing the look of perfectly poured concrete with sublimely soft surface reliefs, their overlaid, tone-on-tone colour combinations create discernible depth and movement within designs.
Bowland – In the surface design we find the natural knots and gorgeous graining found in traditional timber planks, but with all the advantages of high-performance, rectified porcelain tiles.

Duolith – There’s a discernible energy in the detailed stone-effect design that brings depth and movement through the layered shading and sporadic streaks and striations in the surface pattern.
Essenza Oudh – The breadth and depth of this wonderful, wood-look series is unprecedented in terms of the choice of sizes, colours, formats and décor pieces, providing variety and versatility.
