Wood-Effect Large Format Tiles & Slabs

Wood-look porcelain tiles, planks and pavers realistically replicate the timber tones of so many species, offering remarkable variety and versatility. The most avant-garde ranges include the silver shades of birch, through tints of teak and hazelnut, to ashen oak and ebony.

Across the breadth and depth of Minoli’s wood-look collections, specific ranges offer up distinctly different aesthetic qualities to support the trend of incorporating natural finishes into both traditional and modern property designs.

The very latest advancements in wood-effect porcelain have seen the introduction of extra-long plank formats, sizeable square marquetry-style pieces and extra-large slabs, as well as intricate décor pieces, outdoor specification product lines with a 20 mm thickness and R11 slip resistance ratings, and even super-sized slabs.

Minoli’s wood-look ranges are often specified as alternatives to traditional timber flooring or decking. Over natural wood, porcelain tiles have practical advantages in that they will not shrink, split or splinter, warp or show wear, and they are ultimately easier to clean and maintain.

Being almost impervious to moisture and dirt, they are better suited for use in humid and wet areas, will not rot or allow algae to adhere, are highly resistant to extreme temperatures and excellent conductors of under floor heating.

Porcelain tiles can also be manufactured in a wider range of colours but with greater consistency. Higher pattern frequencies ensure the diversity and distribution of the design appears organic, but production in parcels using the same batch of raw materials ensures a homogeneous chromatic finish and calibrated sizes with rectified edges.

Essenza Oudh

As the name suggests, Essenza Oudh seeks to capture the essence of wood in its design and embraces the urge to get back in touch with nature using materials with tactile textures and warm, natural colours.

These wonderful wood-effect tiles, in various lengths and large formats, have the gorgeous graining and natural knots of their organic counterparts, but with all the technical advantages of a high-performance porcelain product.

Also available in more standard sized plank formats such as 20/120 and 30/120, larger plank sizes include 25/150 in all colourways and 30/240 in Jinkoh, Pino and Laos.

The Florio design which creates sizeable, intricate patterned squares, with features emulating hand-crafted joinery or marquetry are available in a sizeable 120/120 scale.

Lastly, the Jinkoh, Pino and Laos designs are available as 120/278 slabs, providing floor to ceiling coverage, which is quite unique for wood-effect porcelain tiles.

Heartwood

Another wood-look series with large formats is Heartwood, which presents a refined aesthetic, inspired by wood that has been treated with only natural oils. This allows the welcoming warmth of wood to shine through and ignite interiors with rich timber tints and a vibrant aesthetic.

Heartwood is a well-established range which is frequently specified by private and professional clients seeking a natural décor theme. The three colourways come in plank formats and a choice of charming décor pieces with linear grooves, a basket-weave design and a stunning chevron pattern with marble-effect inserts.

The larger sized options are of 18.5/150 dimensions which seemingly expand the spaces in which they are installed with the lengthy linear design.
