On Tuesday 20th September, around 100 guests joined Minoli and DK Engineering within Minoli’s London showroom in Marylebone to see close-up some of the most exquisite supercars and to hear about the history of the DK Engineering business.
DK Engineering was founded by David and Kate Cottingham in 1977 and their son James, Lead Acquisition Consultant for the firm, shared some fascinating insights about the DK company and the beautiful Ferrari’s, and other carefully selected collectable cars, that they restore and race.
DK are experts in sourcing the rarest road and competition cars ever to turn a wheel. They specialise in Ferrari but also deal in other exotic, high-performance automobile brands including Maserati, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz.
From the talk James delivered on the night we certainly got a sense of how the company’s active role in the ownership and competition with Ferrari motor cars has given the DK team their vital first-hand experience with the marque.
Their workshop services range from turn-key restoration to competition and concours preparation as well as the more routine service work on contemporary models. The business has grown with an extensive international client base that validates the quality of work and their commitment to the provision of excellence.
Minoli’s showroom, The Surface Within on George Street W1, provided a perfect setting for the reception and DK Engineering presentation. With cocktails and canapes provided by the team from the exclusive members club Home House on Portman Square, the event drew a full-house of attendees.
On display outside of the showroom were four stunning motorcars provided by DK and their clients including a Ferrari F40, a Porsche Carrera GT and two Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso models (of only 22 RHD examples ever built). These head-turners were not only admired at length by the invited guests, but also many passers-by.
It was a pleasure to host the evening at our London premises and our many thanks to James and all the team at DK Engineering for bringing some truly beautiful cars and interesting insights to the event.
