Our strategy of investment in what matters most to our clients continues, as demonstrated with the latest addition to the Minoli fleet entering service.
With the emergence of larger format slab tiles, the expansion of our Core and Contemporary ranges, the ever-increasing offering of the 20 mm Outdoor By Minoli Collection and clients placing larger orders to fulfil requirements for developments with integrated ‘indoor & outdoor’ designs, our delivery capacity has been increased to meet this demand.
Our increased stock holding to circa £4 million in net cost value and our organic growth in turnover also means we need to carefully manage our warehouse stock-turn and throughput to accommodate plentiful supply of the most frequently specified product lines.
This brand-new DAF 18T CF-260 FA can manage a load of just under 10 tonnes, increasing the scope of our daily delivery capacity to over 110,000 KGs and allowing us to safely transport and reliably deliver our wide-ranging product portfolio in greater quantities.
The first curtain-sider we have commissioned (in living memory), this model allows for easier loading and unloading from the side with a forklift on site and is equipped with a full-closure, cantilevered tail-fit that can handle up to 2 tonnes in cargo weight for kerbside deliveries. It also features a larger cab, enhanced cargo area lighting and a host of integrated vehicle technology to improve driver comfort and road safety.
The Minoli delivery fleet now comprises 11 DAF trucks and a further eight supporting vehicles, and a drive for greater efficiency and a concerted effort to reduce emissions has required an ongoing cycle of investment in and upgrading of our vehicles, with another 20T DAF truck with Moffett in body build currently.
Since leaving the factory, this DAF LF 260 FA went to specialist truck body builders, Wessex Vehicle Services, who constructed and fitted the rear load structure and cargo securing system, specifically designed to meet Minoli’s exacting requirements.
Thereafter, the process of final commissioning was conducted by supplying DAF dealership HTC, prior to the vehicle then heading to Oxfordshire-based sign writer, Dan Haines Signs, to be adorned with its new livery, featuring the stunning Azzure and Turquoise tones of the Minoli Wanderlust Labradorite range.
In a relationship that spans several decades, Minoli has chosen HTC Group and DAF to meet its requirements for reliable, robust vehicles that have been purpose-built to the company’s exacting and often changing needs.
If you’re out and about in the Home Counties, London, Southeast or southern England, you may well see this new addition to the fleet – registration number 6 LPM (Luigi Pietro Minoli – our founder) and other distinctly branded Minoli trucks, on the road as they complete their daily deliveries to our professional and residential clients.
