This week on Fab Fact Friday we are looking at the Luminous series.
The award winning Luminous series was launched by Minoli at the annual preview event in December 2019 – Home House 2020
Luminous has an antique aesthetic with a slight rustic worn appearance, it is a very modern take on a handmade majolica tile.
Luminous (Lume) won the Archiproducts Design Award 2019 (in the ‘Finishes’ category).
Archiproducts is an international architecture and design
network which receives 46 million visits a year and has 1.7+ million users.
The jury, consisting this last year of 60 international architecture firms considered over 700 products entered by 400 brands from all over the world, and selected the best ground-breaking material effects and the solutions of outstanding originality and emotional power, as well as considering suitability for tomorrow’s contexts of use and concepts in both residential and contract sectors.
After extensive research into colour and glazes, Luminous
brick tiles are produced using a brand-new production technology, that can
create the ultra-polished exterior and richness of colour, while retaining the
beauty of a hand crafted product.
Luminous showcases small surface blemishes that carry their
own character and irregularities in colour and surface pattern. This allows for
surfaces to express movement and depth through colour and tone.
Minoli Luminous – Lume porcelain brick tiles combine beauty, colour with a subtle tactile effect.
