Marvel Colours & Gemstones | Curated Tile Collections for Interior Design Inspiration

Leading designers in the industry have drawn inspiration from the most sought-after classical marble, as well as interpreting new directions with modern lines and striking colour combinations.

This year has seen the launch of brighter and bolder product palettes and a resurgence in vivid and vibrantly coloured tiles that provide opportunities to create standout installations that draw the eye and stir the imagination.

RANGE OVERVIEW

The Marvel Series captures the eclectic essence of coloured marble and gemstones with such contemporary creativity, resulting in an unrivalled collection of porcelain tiles, extra-large format slabs and decorative mosaics.

The inspiration for the chromatic spectacle this collection creates is truly global with precious stoneware from around the world being studied in elaborate detail to create an exacting representation of the organic originals.

COLOURS AND DESIGNS

We’ve selected eight designs from the Marvel Series that fit into this Colours & Gemstones category:

• Marvel Gala Desert Soul – Resembling South American Quartzite, with a patchwork of desert tones and irregular shapes and shards of white, black, beige and brown, bordered with glistening gold.
• Marvel Gala Amazzonite – Reproducing the turquoise of Brazilian quartzite, with crystalline inclusions that encapsulate the teal tints of tropical seas, interspersed with coral, cream and charcoal.
• Marvel Dream Ultramarine – Reimagining Lapis Lazuli, the electric blue base is pitted with glistening gold and white milky-way markings that deliver remarkable depth and movement.
• Marvel Dream Brazil Green – An intense dark green with iridescent hints of aquatic blues and brilliant gold, Brazil Green makes a bold style statement in the most inventive interior designs.

• Marvel Gala Exotic Green – An enveloping and undulating blend of emerald green and sage, inspired by a stone of Brazilian origin and evoking the colours of tropical forests.
• Marvel Edge Agata Azul – Presenting a surface of cleaved agate gemstones, the softer pale grey and taupe canvas is split with shimmering crystalline inclusions of copper and frosty white.
• Marvel Edge Red Luxury – Drawing inspiration from the Rosso Lepanto marble, with deep tones of garnet and crazed with crystal white veining, this expressive design brings drama and passion to designs.
• Marvel Dream Crystal Beauty – With a rich, russet and smouldering black background, and layers of icy white striations, Crystal Beauty makes a striking statement as a series of magnificent mosaics.

SIZES AND FINISHES

Across these selected Colours & Gemstones designs (excluding Crystal Beauty), depending on the design, standard sized tiles in these collections include more compact 60/120 and 120/120 or 75/75 and 75/150 sizes, in 9mm thickness.

Five of the colourways, including Desert Soul, Amazzonite, Ultramarine, Brazil Green and Exotic Green are also available in expansive 120/278-dimension slabs of 6mm thickness, offering opportunities for seamless floor to ceiling coverage.

These Colours & Gemstones ranges are all exclusively available in a pristine, Polished / Lappato finish befitting the precious nature of the stones they emulate.

Being manufactured from high-grade porcelain, all are perfectly suited for use on both walls and floors, with crisp, rectified edges for exact installation and alignment.

The Crystal Beauty colourway is only available as a series of exquisite mosaics including diminutive square mosaics in porcelain or ceramic, Liberty Lappato, Star Lappato, and Mosaico Fan, which is described blow.

MOSAIC & DECOR TILES

As featured across the vast majority of the Marvel Series, a choice of delightful and distinctly designed Mosaics and Decor pieces are available with which to create feature areas, and we’ve just highlighted a few favourites here:

• Marvel Crystal Beauty Mosaico Fan – In 8.5 mm thick, Gloss ceramic for use on walls and supplied on 29/29.2 sheets for ease of exact application, the Fan design appears as overlapping discs that interlink on installation.
• Marvel Bianco-Ultramarine Diamonds – The Ultramarine appears as arrowhead inserts, interspersed with glints of gold around pieces of the sublimely soft Marvel Bianco Fantastico, in 35.8/32.9 sheets of 8.5 mm thickness ceramic, for use on walls.
• Marvel Brazil Green Mosaico Leaf Lappato – In synergy with the glorious greens, this design, combines irregular shapes to create a glossy, crazy paving patchwork, for use on walls or floors and supplied as 42.3/27.2 sheets.
• Marvel Agata Azul Lappato Mosaico – Whilst in the format of a small square mosaic, the representation of the inspiring agate distinguishes this unique design, supplied on 30/30 sheets of 9 mm thickness.
