The resurgent popularity of smaller sized, high-gloss and matt, porcelain and ceramic tiles is spurring demand for more colours, shapes and surface reliefs.
The trend for incorporating retro style materials, with an authentic, hand-made appearance, is not however confined to those seeking a solely classic design direction. Combined with more modern, large format concrete, stone or marble-effect tiles and slabs, creative and contemporary décor schemes can also be achieved.

Brighter tints and tones are being used on walls and floors, to create feature areas and contrasting colour blocks within the most expressive and experimental interiors. We’re also seeing different surface finishes applied to create intriguing textural variances and help define different zones across larger environments.
These new shapes and shades allow designers to be more playful in the way the tiles are used. Whether laid in brick pattern, herringbone, offset or stacked in vertical or horizontal arrangements, the options are endless.
We’re also seeing creative colour combinations being used to deliver truly bespoke and uniquely inventive installations in bathrooms, kitchens, as features in larger living spaces, as well as in hospitality and leisure venues.
The latest small format, brick and square tile designs that we’ll be showing at Focus/25 include:
The new Zellige Series fuses the traditional look of Moroccan square tiles with the latest in industrial innovation. The beauty of imperfection is captured in the Zellige Series with a distinctive hand-crafted appearance in high-grade ceramic and four muted colourways. The design is purposefully produced with slightly irregular edges and a varied surface relief, in a glistening, gloss finish.

With the timeless popularity of small-format, colourful tiles, Atlas brings a world of colour to walls in a wide variety of interior design contexts. With a gently undulating tile face, Atlas has chromatic depth with a traditional metro brick style and authentic, hand-made aesthetic. Whilst technically Matt in finish, there’s a soft sheen in the surface to lift and enlighten environments.
The new Jazba Series delivers visual variety with creative colourways that enliven interior designs in a wide range of settings including kitchens, bathrooms and living areas. Laid horizontally or vertically, pale pinks and blended blues bring punchy palettes to a variety of environments in slim 6/24 porcelain proportions and a pearlescent, polished finish.

The Ducale and Diamond Gold brick tile designs present mesmerising marble effects in high-grade ceramic wall tiles. The Ducale design incorporates distinctive graphite grey veining across a pale white background with a meticulously Matt finish. The Diamond Gold design has the glint of gilt over grey within the soft streaks of the Matt surface, creating a sense of luxury with a pure white base.
Luminous Lume is a realistically retro, subway brick effect porcelain tile. In its striking 6/24 letterbox format and purposefully irregular patterning, this series has caught the imagination, emulating the individuality of genuine majolica tiles. Now with fifteen tempting tones, all held as stock items, this range is characterised by exquisite shade variation which brings such authenticity to the design.

The Yacht Series elegantly emulates the natural nuances and irregular inclusions of stone with remarkable authenticity. With coordinating larger-sized floor and wall tiles, Yacht Brick Décor tiles bring delightful detail to almost any setting. These slender mid-size rectangular tiles that can be aligned horizontally or vertically depending on your design preference.
The layered, multi-tonal surfaces of the Clay Series emulate soft rendered clay or perfectly smoothed cement, and it is this design element which brings an added dimension of depth to designs. Available in seven neutral colourways, the Tribend Mosaic features three columns of slim rectangular pieces on 30/30 sheets with enough shade variety to create visual interest.
