In its current state, Minoli’s impressive, purpose-built headquarters, distribution centre and tile warehouse, centrally located in Oxford, comprises some 32,000 ft2 of warehousing and 7,000 ft2 of showroom space, plus offices and amenities for our growing team for 45 staff.
Throughout Minoli, from the back office and warehouse to delivery drivers and showroom staff, client managers and the senior team, there’s a strong customer-centred culture that we all contribute to and uphold. Borne out in the attentive service we provide, client relationships that span decades, the dedicated customer facilities at our premises, the professionalism of our colleagues and an inherent instinct to go the extra mile, the mutual success of our clients and our business is always front of mind.
Alongside our talented team and extensive product portfolio, it is the ability of Minoli to not only hold stock, but to also dispatch it quickly and efficiently, that sets us apart.
Our tile warehouse facilities are specifically designed for the storage of ceramic, porcelain and mosaic tiles, to accommodate a vast number of ranges in very large quantities. The warehousing is laid out over an impressive 32,000 square feet containing around £4 million in net cost value stock.
This stockholding represents all of our most frequently ordered ranges, principally from our Core Essentials Collection to meet the requirements of our housebuilder, developer and corporate clients, but also selected lines from the Contemporary Collection of exclusive, premium series. Of the circa 160 ranges in the overall Minoli product portfolio, we hold tiles from around 100 series in UK stock, which comprises nearly 620 individual designs, finishes or sizes.
This not only means that we can load and despatch to site within 2-5 working days, but it also ensures we can negate any availability issues caused by the usual European summer and seasonal factory closures.
All stock management is computer controlled, making picking more efficient and helping us forecast for future ordering. The specially designed high-level racking makes for quick and simple access by our fully trained warehouse team.
It is here that the Minoli team also take care of assembling and packaging orders for ease of handling and dispersal at the point of delivery. All the required materials for specific jobs can be palleted together and professionally labelled with client branding and job references for ease of selection and application.
What’s more, with our own purpose-built fleet of trucks and Minoli employed drivers we reliably provide a prompt and efficient delivery process, predominantly throughout the Home Counties, southern England and London, but also into the Midlands and nationally via our courier partners.
Minoli have continuously invested in our delivery fleet and improved our overall distribution resources to keep pace with the growing demand for our ever-expanding product portfolio.
The Minoli fleet now comprises 11 DAF Trucks, 3 Fiat Ducato Vans and a further 5 support vehicles, that gives a daily delivery capacity in excess of 100,000 KGs, all on vehicles specifically designed to meet our needs and those of our clients. The latest addition is a DAF CF Series 340 – 26 tonne Curtain Sided Rigid with Moffett forklift allowing us to carry increased tonnage and to safely and efficiently unload greater volumes of tiles and extra-large slabs, more conveniently at our clients’ sites.
Regularly upgrading to larger capacity and more fuel-efficient vehicles also supports our policy of reducing our environmental impact and complying with the clean air zone schemes in place in London and other major conurbations across the UK.
Of course, we most visibly showcase our beautiful Italian porcelain tile collections and how they can be installed to create inspiring spaces, but behind the scenes the backbone of Minoli is our team, our prolific stockholding and delivery capacity.
