Minoli Fleet In Focus

The Minoli truck fleet goes from strength to strength and now comprises 11 DAF Trucks, 3 Fiat Ducato Vans and a further 5 support vehicles, that give a daily delivery capacity in excess of 100,000 KGs, all on vehicles specifically designed to meet our needs and those of our clients.

The latest addition to our truck fleet went into service in late April. Registration number M1 NOL is a DAF CF Series 340, 26 tonne Curtain Sided Rigid with Moffett forklift and, given how frequently this vehicle will be delivering in central London, a lift and steer tag axle was also fitted. This new truck allows us to carry increased tonnage and to unload safely and efficiently greater volumes of tiles and extra-large slabs, more conveniently at our clients’ sites.

Regularly upgrading to larger capacity and more fuel-efficient vehicles also supports our policy of reducing our environmental impact and complying with the clean air zone schemes in place in London and other major conurbations across the UK.

In a relationship that spans several decades, Minoli sources all our trucks from HTC Group and DAF to meet our requirements for reliable, robust vehicles that have been purpose-built to the company’s exacting and often changing needs. With over 38 years of experience, HTC Group has developed expertise in sales, finance, and service, placing customer satisfaction at the forefront of their operations.

After final inspection at the DAF factory, all Minoli trucks are shipped to specialist vehicle body builders, Wessex Vehicle Services, who construct and fit the rear cargo boxes, specifically designed to meet Minoli’s requirements. For example, in addition to the already high levels of Minoli specification, features such as additional lighting to fully illuminate the cargo bay and tailgate platform, live satellite vehicle tracking, on-board reversing and all-round cameras are added to enhance both safety and usability for Minoli’s delivery team.

Based in Salisbury, Wessex Vehicle Services are commercial vehicle bodybuilders, representing UK engineering at its best, manufacturing bespoke bodywork for all body types and sectors, nationwide for over 30 years.

The two most recent additions, with registration numbers M1 NOL and 6 LPM (commemorating our founder – Luigi Pietro Minoli) both feature branded tension curtains for the cargo areas created by the Andrew Mitchell & Co Ltd.

Established in 1808, JH Peck of Wigan are one of the original UK textile manufacturers. Founded in the Wigan borough, they later became part of the Andrew Mitchell & Co Ltd Group, with head office based in Glasgow, Scotland, although still keeping a manufacturing site in Wigan. Known today as Andrew Mitchell & Co Ltd, the ownership is now again based in Wigan and has been based on the Eckersley Mill site for over 30 years now.

They manufacture various products for the UK haulage industry from tension curtains, tarpaulins & skip nets, to soft play equipment for children and the handicapped, amongst many other products for fire & rescue, utilities industry, & products the general public.

Thereafter, once the final pre-delivery inspection has been conducted by HTC Group at their Oxford Dealership in Kidlington, the vehicles then head to Oxfordshire-based sign writer, Dan Haines Signs, to be adorned with new liveries. These include full-body vinyl wraps, branding for the cabs and legislation compliance labelling.

For corporate clients, operating in prestige fields, such as motor manufacturers and developers, working with Minoli ensures that when deliveries are made, the tiles and accessories arrive in a corporate liveried truck, by a uniformed, Minoli-employed driver, with the product and client knowledge to provide a truly professional and personal service.
