Whether specifying porcelain tiles as a professional for a residential or commercial project, or choosing for one’s own home, making the right choices of floor and wall coverings is an important part of the design process or home improvement plan. Given the durability of porcelain tiles, and that they are usually fixed using specialist adhesive and grout, it’s worth taking some time and getting expert advice, as you’ll want to enjoy your selected surfaces for years to come.
Centrally located at 71-73 George Street, Marylebone, W1U 8AQ, from Minoli London – The Surface Within – our showroom and account management teams offer a wide range of services and resources to professional and private customers. The showroom, displays and facilities have all been purposefully designed to showcase the Minoli product portfolio in the best possible way and to allow our teams to consult with and advise on the ideal design choices and specifications. Having celebrated the 10th anniversary of the opening of this showroom last year, Minoli London has become an established and frequented venue for the design community in the capital.
The main, ground floor Gallery showroom features the most recently launched series and displays of extra-large format slabs, principally of the latest marble collections, plus some of the exciting stone-effect ranges. On expansive slide out panels, customers can get a real sense of the colour, pattern density and authentic representation of the original material. Whilst the sizes are adjusted for display purposes, these extra-large format products are now available in 120/240, 120/278 and even some in 160/320 dimensions, offering uninterrupted, full-height wall coverage and near seamless floor surfaces.

Also, in the Gallery are fully fitted room settings, with complementary accessories that show various tile combinations at scale so one can appreciate the surface variation and see how tiles align within Book Match designs, for instance. Along with free-standing 120/120 tiles, brochure displays and the main showroom reception desk, the Gallery is a frequently used space when clients are exploring the ranges.
It’s also where the team keep one of the larger sample repositories, ready for packaging and sending in the specially designed sample boxes. We receive daily requests for tile samples at both Minoli London and the head office facility in Oxford. Pre-cut and card-mounted, customers can collect preprepared samples in person, order them online in a few clicks through the Minoli website, or you can even contact us by phone or email to request up to four samples to be sent by post.
For professional and corporate clients, including interior designers, architects, housebuilders and property developers, we recognise that different quantities and formats of samples may be required to present to their customers and stakeholders. As such, there may be occasions when we can make larger or full-size pieces available to help clients buy into the vision for the finished design.

The rest of the ground floor area is occupied by the Presentation Suite, which is most commonly used for design consultations when clients and designers visit to make choices. Focused on the Minoli Contemporary Essentials Collection, in the purpose-built racking, some 170 full size tiles, mainly in 60/60 format with some larger 75/75 and 80/80 sizes, are readily available to inspect. This room also houses the main marble-effect samples library and other 30/30 pieces arranged as mood boards to inspire selections.

Moving downstairs to The Studio, this is the creative space, situated on the lower-ground floor with a purpose-built workbench, on which to compare and contrast indoor tiles and outdoor porcelain pavers, with further room settings and display units.
It’s also adjacent to our hospitality space, refreshments bar and galley where you’ll find freshly made coffee, a selection of soft drinks, and even the occasional glass of vino to help fuel the creativity! In short, the Studio is the ideal place to roll up sleeves and enjoy choosing from our Core and Contemporary Collections.

Last, but not least, the lower ground floor also features The Retreat – a secluded haven from the hustle and bustle of the streets above. Of course, beautiful ceramic and porcelain samples adorn the walls, but this is first and foremost a space for relaxation! With low-level lighting and seating, sumptuous sofas and a wall mounted flat-screen TV, we’d welcome you to come and take the weight off after a busy day in the West End – whether on business or visiting for pleasure. There’s also desk-space and Wi-Fi in case you need to get online or catch up on e-mails, or somewhere to shortlist tile selections – in privacy but amongst friends.

Having a dedicated facility and resource centre in the Capital has allowed us to offer our renowned high standards of customer service at this super-central location and we’re delighted to often host design consultations, client meetings and specification sessions.
There’s always something new to see at Minoli London as the product portfolio is constantly refreshed with the latest designs and formats. The current displays showcase all the recently launched series from our Contemporary and Core Collections, stunning large format slabs in marble, stone and gemstone effects that enable seamless floor to ceiling coverage, beautiful but durable additions to the Outdoor By Minoli Collection and exquisite extensions to our Mosaic and Decor tile offering.
We’re keen to welcome existing and new clients to The Surface Within, so if you’re ever in central London, please do drop by. We’re open Monday – Friday from 09:00 – 18:00 or on Saturdays by appointment from 10:00 – 14:00 at 71-73 George Street, Marylebone, London W1U 8AQ.
