This week we are looking a the showrooms located at the head
office & distribution centre in Oxford.
Luigi Minoli moved the company from a production facility in the city centre to the current location on Transport Way in 1960, although the road was unnamed at that point and Minoli were the first company to build a unit in the area.
Soon after opening the production facility – as the company was predominantly manufacturing and installing terrazzo along with mosaics, a tile showroom was opened as part of the transition into tile distribution.
The showroom has seen many changes over the years, primarily to ensure that we are able to continue to show the new designs and formats in the best possible ways.
The current showrooms in Cowley consist of the main showroom and reception on the ground floor, approx. 360 MT2 (3,900 sqft), which was originally opened in November of 1996 and extended in 2001.
The corporate client showroom is located on the first floor, adjacent to the main sales office, at over 300 MT2 (3,300sqft) this was opened in the summer of 2010 and is predominantly for our developer and designers clients.
Just before the lockdown in March we opened a “Factory Outlet” showroom, especially for clearance lines such as cancelled orders and discontinued items, the showroom at just over 250 MT2 (2,700 sqft) is available for trade and public alike – although of course like all of the Minoli showrooms it is currently closed.
The Oxford showroom team is managed by Lawrence who joined Minoli in December of 2000, Lawrence is assisted by Shaun, who joined Minoli in October of 2008. Lawrence’s team who manage all three showrooms also includes Gary (July 2017) and Rod, who is one of the newest members of team Minoli , joining us in July of last year.
As soon as lockdown is lifted – the team are here to welcome you, but in the meantime – please don’t hesitate to phone, email or click on the website.
