Minoli Porcelain Tiles Feature In MIDA Interior’s Prestigious Project

MIDA Interiors were commissioned to undertake the full renovation of this exquisite 5 story, grade II listed Georgian townhouse, just off of Sloane Square in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Within the design, the team specified several of Minoli’s premium porcelain ranges for the bathrooms, living areas, hallway and conservatory.

The MIDA Interiors Studio is the creative product of Missy Peck and Davina Cooke. Having met while working with world-renowned interior designer, Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill of Woodstock Designs in Oxfordshire, they share a genuine enthusiasm for blending contemporary and traditional styles to create innovative and bespoke design solutions.

Within the extensive scope of refurbishment, MIDA freshened the finishes, designed and installed new flooring, lighting, window treatments, bathrooms and joinery details throughout, with exacting attention to detail and elegant empathy for the building’s historic status.

One of the bathrooms features the distinct design of Minoli Marvel Calacatta Prestigio, in a generous 60/60 size and polished ‘Lappato’ finish on the walls. This is paired with Boost Pearl Matt on the floor, which accentuates the veining of the wall tile.

A further bathroom is clad throughout in the sublimely soft and delightfully dappled Marvel Carrara Pure, in Matt 60/60, with shades of silver and steel against the bright white background.

In the living areas and hallways, the wood-effect of Minoli Jurupa has been used to great effect, bringing the welcoming warmth of a natural timber floor, in the Master colourway and 20/120 format.

The conservatory, with a dramatically glazed ‘orangery’ roof, is paved in the Matt Marvel Cream Prestige 60/60 and a further shower enclosure is finished in the high-gloss, Classic Off-White Luminous Lume, with its retro, metro brick format emulating the style of a Majolica tile.

The MIDA team’s experience is truly international. Obtaining a BFA in Fine Art & Art History in Philadelphia, USA, Missy’s career began in NYC and London, working for several AD 100 Design Firms. It’s her experience in these top-tier firms, along with many years of living internationally, that give her a deep knowledge of design and cultural history to draw from.

Now settled in Oxford, Davina grew up between the UK and South Africa. University was followed by a career in Business & Marketing, but a lifelong passion for interiors and design motivated a move into this field of work, starting with bathroom design and then on to specialising in heritage and period properties. Davina possesses a wealth of knowledge, skill and style in all applications of interior design.

With over 45 years of combined experience, Missy and Davina have the capability and confidence to undertake any project that is presented to them. Their sophisticated sense of colour, proportion and appropriateness give their designs a sense of gravitas, vibrancy and timelessness which sets them apart.
