Acquired by The Ede Group in August 2023 and first reopened to staying guests in August 2024, The Feathers Hotel in the heart of Woodstock in Oxfordshire has been reimagined and restored to combine its historical charm with a contemporary twist. Just last week The Feathers was chosen by The Times as one of the Top 100 Best Places to Stay in 2025, ranking at No.7, which is a remarkable achievement since launch last year.
With 17 individually appointed rooms and 6 sumptuous suites, the generous guest quarters have been thoughtfully redesigned to harmonise rustic elegance with modern amenities. Also comprising The Nest restaurant, offering signature, modern European dining, and the Aviary bar, serving light bites, delectable cocktails and an enviable wine list, The Feathers has become a destination on the Oxfordshire / Cotswolds borders.
Throughout the ensuite bathrooms of the hotel accommodation, porcelain tiles from Minoli have been expertly fitted to provide luxurious spaces in which to relax and refresh. Below we’ve just selected a few of our favourites that demonstrate the effortless elegance that the Ede team have achieved in the design of these stunning spaces.
In the ensuite shower room of Room 24, aged brass fixtures adorn the setting, complementing the golden inclusions within the Marvel Calacatta Extra tiles, fitted in a 30/60 format to the walls and 60/60 size to the floor, with a meticulously matt finish. The room also features a generous walk-in shower enclosure, which has been clad in Minoli Luminous Lume, high-gloss, letterbox tiles, in the Classic Off-White Colourway, creating a fantastic feature.

The Room 42 ensuite also includes the gloss glazing of Luminous Lume Classic Off-White to the shower area, which amplifies the light from the high set sash window and harmonises happily with the Calacatta Extra porcelain tiles on the other walls. Here the floor is laid with the marble-effect, Marvel Grey Cloud with branch-like veining in graphite, against a billowing, silver-grey background.

Lastly, in the splendour of the Suite 6 facilities, the warm, wood-effect of the Tree Charme Series, in the Taupe design, has the gorgeous graining and natural knots of traditional planks in porcelain.

Marvel Grey Cloud creates a sense of drama at scale to the walls around the free-standing, roll-top bath, bringing depth and discernible movement as light plays across the tile face. This ensuite also boasts a sizeable shower enclosure, with Luminous Lume Greige adorning the walls.

The Ede Group is a third-generation property development and housebuilding company that started in 1959 and remains to this day 100% family-owned. Since incorporation, they have delivered over 2,000 stunning homes, as well as luxury hotels, office refurbishments and listed building conversions.
Our thanks go to the team at Ede for specifying Minoli porcelain tile ranges in this wonderful and welcoming hotel, and you can see more of their delightful developments on their website, here.
