Minoli specified by Hill House Interiors for a wonderful Weybridge residence

Recently celebrating the company’s 25^th anniversary, their client-centred approach has garnered a multitude of awards while their business has grown over the years into one of Britain’s leading interior design practices, with a 30-strong team of designers and architects. Hill House Interiors operates out of a creative studio and lifestyle showroom in the UK, and a luxurious newly opened studio near the DIFC in Dubai.

Minoli have supplied Hill House with premium porcelain tiles for approaching 20 years, consulting and reliably delivering to sites throughout the Home Counties, London and the South East, and internationally to Italy and now Spain.

With a global reach, Hill House Interiors works on high-end residential projects in locations as diverse as London, New York, Lake Como, Antibes, the Bahamas, Ibiza and L.A. Projects can range from exclusive penthouse apartments to palatial homes, lakeside villa retreats or beautifully engineered yachts.

Located on one of the most prestigious estates in Weybridge, Surrey, is one such remarkable new-build residence, for which porcelain tiles and extra-large format slabs from the Minoli Contemporary Collections were selected for the elegant ensuite bathrooms and cloakroom, as well as premium porcelain paving for the stunning swimming pool surround.

For this recently completed project, Hill House worked in partnership with Park Lane Developments, who are at the forefront of luxury home design and construction. The Hill House team were involved from the outset, drawing on the design themes that have become synonymous with Park Lane’s perfectly presented properties, and evolving the combinations of finishes applied.

The master bedroom accommodation spans the entire width of the rear of the property, with ‘his and hers’ bathrooms, each with generous adjoining dressing rooms. In the ensuite for the lady of the house, the floor features an almost seamless surface of Minoli Marvel Calacatta Delicato in an expansive120/120 format and meticulously matt finish. Emulating the most sought-after white Italian marble with authenticity, the soft, fine veining has an almost cloud-like composition, with pale grey and warmer-toned inclusions. The same tile design has been used in large format for the shower enclosure walls and to create matching skirting.

Also, within this room, creating a fabulous feature wall behind the lavatory and bidet,120/278 slabs of Cosmopolitan Arabescato Oro have been expertly installed to provide uninterrupted, floor to ceiling coverage. The more prominent, fiery golden veins complement the bronze brassware, including the floor stand tap for the opulent oval, freestanding bath.

In the gentleman’s ensuite, Marvel Calacatta Delicato has again be used for the floors and walls, but the shower area has been fitted to full height with Marvel Fior Di Bosco slabs, to echo the more masculine colourways of the vanity unit and fixtures. This strong and stunning porcelain stoneware, seen reflected in the mirror, replicates the prestigious Tuscan marble of its namesake, with glistening gold and striking white veining across a stormy, smoky background.

Downstairs in the cloakroom, the pristinely polished Lappato finish of Wanderlust Saint Laurent adorns the floor and frames a recessed vertical alcove, amplifying the light from the enlarged windows that this property enjoys throughout.

Moving to the delightfully designed swimming pool area, porcelain paving from Minoli’s 20 mm thickness product portfolio has been laid around the seating area and to the edges of the pool, with a bullnose finish. Here, in a 60/120 size, the Outdoor specification surface of Marvel Travertine White Vein provides grip but still affords complete comfort underfoot. The Vein Cut design has linear definition as the pattern runs through the length of the tile face, with creamy base colours and the irregular markings of natural stone.

The same floor tile choice extends into the charming changing room, where a coordinating 9mm thickness variant has also been used for the walls. Lastly, the matching Basketweave mosaic brings a tactile texture resembling intertwined bands to the side wall and shower enclosure.
