The continued evolution of the Kia brand is remarkable and far-reaching, moving beyond being a traditional car manufacturer to becoming a mobility brand. Their vision is to create sustainable mobility solutions for consumers, the community and global society through innovative products and convenient and meaningful services.
Central to this direction is a belief that movement inspires ideas, which is why Kia create spaces in which to get inspired and services that free up more time to bring ideas to life. It’s a strategy that is not only manifested in their products, but also through their retail stores, where consumers can touch and experience the brand.
This striking, forward-thinking space identity at first appears split into two distinctly different dimensions. In fact, Kia Store comprises a customer zone and a display zone, each with a different spatial theme and colour scheme. Where these seemingly opposing areas intersect, there runs a vivid red loop all the way across the store. This loop unites the two spaces, expressing the energy that connects and contrasts the two.
The Customer Zone is designed as a warm space with a minimalistic and natural sensibility. In this area, wood-look tiles from Minoli’s porcelain product portfolio have been chosen to create a rich and welcoming environment, echoing the colour palette that extends to the walls and ceiling.
In the Display Zone, a delightful but durable stone-effect tile, specified to withstand vehicle movement, brings a pristine pearl palette to complement other metallic finishes. This achromatic colour theme offers a tranquillity that ensures that Kia’s cars receive undivided attention.
Minoli’s relationship with Kia started in the UK where we have helped deploy four iterations of their corporate identity across the network to reflect the brand’s forward-thinking and innovative values with consistency and quality. Proving a worthy partner in this territory, our remit has now expanded and we’re delivering direct for new build and refurbishment projects throughout Europe, including sites in Ireland, France, Italy and Belgium.
