More Investment in Distribution

The first of two new trucks arrived at Minoli yesterday. The truck, a new version of the DAF LF, 16 T specially built for Minoli was delivered on Tuesday and is out in South London today serving our distribution clients.

The truck, much like the other two new trucks that were put in to service earlier this year, has been purpose built for Minoli by Ken Kerr Body Builders of Oxford. The truck, equipped for Minoli with a large payload on a relatively small chassis and fitted with the now essential tail lift is the 9^th addition to the fleet in recent years, and will be followed by its sister truck that is undergoing final PDI checks at HTC DAF in Oxford, before being expertly sign written by Daniel Haines of Dan Haines Signs.

Chris, Warehouse and Transport Manager for Minoli said, “I am delighted to have received the first of the two new vehicles in time for our very busiest period , the end of November and the beginning of December, you would not have thought there was a Christmas rush for tiles… but there is … I suppose it is a year-end rush”

Jonathon Minoli, Managing Director of Minoli said “ it’s great to have another truck on the fleet at this time of year and I hope that the second one will follow in soon, the extra capacity these vehicles needed could not come at a better time, our client have so many house and projects to complete… we are going to need the extra space and weight capability.”

Looking at the direction business is taking, with more and more clients calling on the exacting service levels of Minoli and also the sizes of many of our products becoming bigger and bigger, Jonathon Minoli commented (to misquote Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) “ We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Truck” or two !

The new Truck, which can be seen here at Minoli Oxford distribution centre , right in the  middle of the storms that covered the UK yesterday “ Storm Barney”  has the most recent livery  designed in house by the Minoli design team, who also produce our brochures and co-ordinate our marketing and events… Minoli One team.
