Terrazzo-Look Large Format Tiles & Slabs

Replicating with authenticity the speckled, multi-coloured look of the traditional Venetian material, Minoli’s Terrazzo-look, large format tiles and slabs are proving popular with our interior design, retail and homeowner clients.

Unlike traditional cement based Terrazzo, these durable porcelain alternatives are non-porous, stain and scratch resistant, and do not require sealing. As such, they are being frequently specified for residential and commercial floors and walls, kitchens, hallways and bathrooms, where their low water absorption and wear resistance come to the fore.

The specialist automotive team at Minoli have also seen increased uptake of Terrazzo-look tiles in car dealership showrooms. The irregular inclusions within the surface of Terrazzo-effect tiles create a dynamic and durable platform on which to display vehicles. Also, given the varied patterning in the finish, Terrazzo designs are remarkably resilient against showing marks and footprints.

Available in light and dark designs, the most recent iterations of Terrazzo in porcelain incorporate the cutting-edge of the ceramic industry’s production methodologies to deliver high load bearing surfaces with excellent colour stability and uniformity of rectified, calibrated sizing.

ReConcrete Terrazzo

The ReConcrete Series, presents the contemporary appearance of perfectly poured concrete, in a premium porcelain product.

Featuring tiles that contain sizes and designs with over 60% pre- and post-consumer recycled content, reclaimed from the processing procedure and firing cycle, combined with other essential natural raw materials, new manufacturing methods help create a virtuous system that promotes the reuse of the component elements, reduces consumption and respects the environment.

Combining the visual robustness of concrete merged with the sophistication of stone, ReConcrete is enriched with a varied texture which makes it ideal for a variety of design contexts. The series is enhanced by Terrazzo-effect tiles, peppered with different coloured inclusions to add depth and dynamism to designs.

All three of the Rice, Caribbean and Artic colourways are available with Terrazzo counterparts, with different shades of speckles that complement the base colours of the tiles.

Terrazzo Rice is overlaid with speckles of grey, terracotta and gun metal, to bring visual variety to the settings in which it is installed, Terrazzo Caribbean includes irregular orange, brown and cream inclusions and in Terrazzo Artic we see hues of blue and grey within the flecks of the patterning.

With Matt and Brushed finishes, in large formats all colourways are available in 60/119.7 dimensions. Thereafter, Artic and Rice are available in super-sized 120/278 slabs with a Brushed finish.

Lastly, 60/60 variants are also available to order in Brushed and from plentiful Uk stock for prompt delivery in Matt.

With thicknesses of 8 mm for the tiles and 6 mm for the slabs, this reduction in depth also contributes to the environmental credentials of this series, as less materials are required in the production process.

Viceversa Veneziano

With the look of perfectly poured concrete, the Viceversa Series of porcelain tiles brings a sense of urban indulgence to interior design schemes.

With eight muted and mellow colour variations, there’s also an additional Terrazzo effect tile, with a discernible depth to the multi-tone layers.

Tutti Frutti in Terrazzo, Viceversa Veneziano is a purposefully playful partner to the more muted members of the Viceversa series, with flecks of terracotta, ochre, pale blues and black against a pale, blended background.

Exclusively available in a large format 80/80 size with a beautiful Brushed finish, Viceversa Veneziano is a contemporary take on this traditional material.
