Since 2012, Marvel has been the benchmark in the ceramics industry for marble-effect surfaces.
With a colour palette ranging from pure whites to intense greys and blacks, right through to the most precious, colourful stones, Marvel offers endless compositional possibilities for those seeking excellence in design.
The natural materials these porcelain tiles and slabs reproduce are mostly Italian in origin, but renowned throughout the world for their purity, balance of colour and authentic veining.
As this technically advanced series has expanded and developed over the years, Marvel has become a complete stylistic tool, with a wide range of inspirations, colours, sizes and patterns that allow for unprecedented creative freedom. The result is an authentic and refined interpretation of marble, capable of transforming any space with elegance, realism and contemporary personality.
Today we’re looking back at some of the original and early Marvel designs, which remain in production and in demand as classics in the marble-effect collections:
– Marvel Calacatta Extra – The billowing background is softened with sporadic touches of neutral beige alongside natural grey veining. Calacatta Extra is available from UK stock in 30/60, 60/60 and 60/120 sizes in Matt and Polished finishes. Other sizes available to order with both Matt and Polished finishes include 75/150, 120/120 and extra-large 120/278 slabs. Furthermore, 120/240 sized slabs are available to order in a Polished finish and a 160/320 with a Silk surface, all with precisely rectified edges for ease of installation.
– Marvel Black Atlantis – The glistening white streaks within the obsidian-coloured surface are edged and enhanced with lava-like golden threads. Marvel Black Atlantis is available to order with very reasonable lead times in a 60/120 format with either Matt or Polished finishes, or as 120/278 Polished slabs, all featuring crisp rectified edges with which to achieve highly technical interior designs.
– Marvel Bianco Dolomite – An elegant reproduction of Italian off-white Dolomite marble, with subtle veining and dispersed taupe-grey streaks. Bianco Dolomite is held in stock in 30/60 and 60/60 formats, with both Matt and Polished finishes. Other sizes available to order with both Matt and Polished finishes include 60/120, 120/120 and extra-large 120/278 slabs. Furthermore 75/150 and 120/240 sized slabs are available to order in a Polished finish. Again, all Marvel Bianco Dolomite tiles and slabs are produced with calibrated, rectified edges, so allowing almost seamless surfaces to be realised.
As featured across the vast majority of the Marvel Series, a choice of delightful and distinctly designed Mosaics and Decor pieces are also available, with which to create fascinating feature areas, depending on the specific colourways selected.
