THROWBACK THURSDAY
This week on #ThrowbackThursday we are looking at the first of the events held in the Minoli London Showrooms, where we collaborated with speakers from various companies and organisations – with a relationship with Minoli.
In 2016 Minoli were working alongside Luxury Topping, a PR and Publicity company founded by a lady who is nothing short of legendary within the Central London property world – Tricia Topping. Tricia had offered Minoli many wonderful suggestions and amongst them was to point out that the London showroom was a wonderful space and we really should invite more people to spend time there with us and like-minded people.
A concept was formed, and this was to be very much like the Minoli preview evenings but held in the showroom and with guest speakers on a topic that would be interesting to those present and informative.’
The very first one was held on Thursday 28th April 2016 as the “Start with Art & Spring Preview Evening”.
On that night, The Surface Within showroom, became the centre stage for guest speaker Paula Lent, the Art Consultant and Director at Artmasters, and for the latest collections of Minoli’s porcelain tile ranges. Paula entertained guests with an enlightening talk on how art can add value and enhance the interior design of a new build development or renovation project.
The Minoli stylish flagship showroom was a fitting setting for the event. Well over 100 guests attended including interior designers from Ralph Lauren, LINLEY, DAPA, Honky, OS Designs and many more notable brands, as well as leading house builders, developers and retailers.
At the time, Jonathon Minoli – MD of Minoli, commented “Minoli have a history of supporting and recognising the value that art gives a home. Our products can be used in many interesting ways to enhance a home and it was interesting to learn how to combine the old with the new in Paula’s presentation.”
Paula appropriately ended the talk by discussing porcelain as an art form, using examples of the new Minoli porcelain ranges to demonstrate the artistic link.
