Wonderful Project Wednesday

For this Wonderful Project Wednesday we escape to the country. Set in the beautiful countryside of rural Berkshire, sits the village of Hurst, just outside of Reading. A beautiful semi-detached property with four bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen area complete with sky lights and a sitting room featuring a charming fire place setting, which has been transformed into a modern and a stylish home with an abundance of the very best of Minoli Tiles.
This project was undertaken by the team at Christopher Wren Developments and involved the total renovation of “The Cottage” and the addition of a newly built extension.
The entrance of the home remains in a traditional style, where Minoli Etic Palissandro wood look tiles have been used for the floor to complement the wooden furnishings. Along with the utility and Gymnasium, in two different colour ways. Wood effect porcelain tiles are a great option for family homes, not only are they authentic in tone, colour and pattern, these durable, non-porous tiles are made of sound and sturdy porcelain, which is low maintenance and easy to clean.

The new kitchen and dining area, and throughout the downstairs of the property, has been fitted with Minoli Seastone series, a large and light tile, to really open up the space. Seastone White porcelain tiles, replicate a subtle limestone effect, quite plain appearance and in colour variation although has small and subtle, natural look surface patterns, much like its natural counterpart.

For the bathrooms, the classic appeal of traditional marble tiles, evoke luxury in a bespoke sense. Four new bathrooms were installed in this property, utilising a full selection from the Minoli collection, primarily the Marvel series of marble look tiles. Interesting feature tiles have been selected for maximum impact, including the 3D Wall Design Mosaic in the elegant Minoli Marvel Grey Stone marble effect porcelain. Contracted against a lighter marble, and hugely popular option, the Minoli Marvel Calacatta Extra. A white marble effect tile with authentic grey veining. Additional bathrooms complement the same scheme with Minoli Marvel Grey Stone, decorating the walls and floor of an en suite and the warmer Minoli Gotha travertine effect tiles in another.

To complete the home, a grand fireplace hearth displays some very interesting features. The elegant Minoli Marvel Noir Saint Laurent, a black marble tile, matching the cast iron wood burner, along with a 3D wall décor feature for the fireplace surround. This style has been echoed in the kitchen where the Minoli Trust series Brick was fitted above the kitchen log burner.
“The Cottage” is famous for its extensive and perfectly kept gardens, with manicured lawns and paddocks. The newly refurbished building sits perfectly in the grounds, a beautiful jewel of an English country residence.
