Verity & Violet – Making the Music at Minoli Events

For over a decade, the vintage inspired melodies of Verity and Violet have entertained guests at Minoli events with their mix of old school classics, jazzy numbers, post-modern and more contemporary music.

With real names of Loui and Jess, the duo met doing the pantomime Peter Pan at The Fairfield Halls in Croydon. Loui couldn’t get home for Christmas so Jess invited her to spend it with her and a soul friendship was secured.

Loui went on to star in Hollyoaks for many years, as Sarah Barnes. Many film and TV credits later, Verity and Violet was born while brain storming about how to take control of thier crazy industry.

Jess did a few shows and a play at Jermyn Street and travelled the world as a commercial dancer, before the inspirational conversation at a pub in Barnes, south west London.

Loui now has a production company with her husband and two children. Jess is about to qualify as a nurse and has one little girl. For Jess and Loui (V&V) life is always busy and beautiful and their passion for Verity and Violet remains fierce.

From headlining at The Cap d’Antibes to entertaining the stars of Downton Abbey at their wrap party, Verity & Violet’s signature style blends vintage favourites with modern music seamlessly, making them an irresistible draw to all. Even the fashionistas tipped this two-piece as their trend du jour, asking them to entertain their A-list guests during London Fashion Week.

They were also nominated for best vocal act at The London Cabaret Awards and with a great reputation and many repeat clients, it’s little wonder that the twosome are so in demand.

Verity and Violet have performed at every Minoli Preview event at Home House since 2014 and have also entertained our guests at Minoli London showroom events, on George Street, Marylebone.
